Now that I don't have any fights lined up and I'm just working out to work out, it's been much more consistent and easier as well. But sometimes I miss the Muay Thai lifestyle.
Muay Thai session at Team Quest, Chiang Mai |
For months at a time my routine was living at the gym, training first thing in the morning, eating to recover and laying around resting until the afternoon session. The two a days were brutal, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Armed with a hard drive full of The Ultimate Fighter episodes, it would rev me up just enough to get through the week.
Food wise, it was always a struggle to get in enough calories and protein. Luckily there are tons of all you can eat buffets in Thailand, often for less than $5. My favorites are the AYCE Thai BBQs that are usually 139 baht ($4.63US)
What are you guys looking forward to most when you come to Thailand? And for those who have already done a Muay Thai camp, what do you miss now that you're home?

Man I miss the disciplined, orderly lifestyle of the camp and being physical everyday for hours on end... Best wishes. Ace
